If you’re enjoying using Everplaces on your iPhone or iPad, we’d be grateful if you would share this sentiment by rating or reviewing it in the App Store of your country.
In Apple’s system, each country has it’s own App Store where an app needs many reviews to get a rating. Right now we’ve only made the threshold in 2 countries, so your review makes a difference. This will be very helpful for new users as hearing how you use Everplaces will make it easier for them to decide if this is helpful for them too.
HOW TO REVIEW IN APP STORE:
1) On your device go to the App Store
2) Search for “Everplaces”
3) Go to bottom of the description, press “Rating” (first image)
4) Write a review (second image)
Thanks for sharing the love, we appreciate it.

Kava, yams, no Big Macs and awesome people
By Everplaces’ competition winner Nick Martin, UK
The small island of Tonga is a true gem!
The first thing that strikes you when you land in The Kingdom of Tonga is how big everyone is. 90% of people are considered overweight with 60% clinically obese. The highest in the world and as a result of too much yam I heard. When I took an internal flight up to a northern island I was weighed separate to my luggage at check-in and was designated a seat based on that measurement. The big guys were at the back, equal numbers on each side of the aisle.
The diving is out of this world with incredible vertical and horizontal visibility. I found this crazy German ‘divemaster’ who loved his kava who’d been operating for only a short time himself. We had an amazing amount of freedom to go where we wanted andthe marine life had clearly had very little contact with us humans as they would come to us. Loads of friendly ‘big fish’ on show.
International businesses were illegal at the time which meant a distinct lack of Starbucks, MacDonald’s and any other commercial chain that tend to blight our cityscapes. It’s amazing how tranquil that feature alone can make an environment feel as visiting Hawaii straight after was a shock.
The last thing are the people themselves. A beautifully warm bunch that would gladly welcome me into their homes as I ambled along the street. They love outsiders and there’s not a hint of wanting anything in return like so many other places in the world. They have a thirst for contact with the outside world so I just hope they’re a little bit careful with what they wish for :)

CEO, Planely (we make flying memorable)
On Friday we had a small review of Everplaces in the German iphone-ticker.de. We’re in beta and not doing any sort of press, but these guys didn’t ask (actually they didn’t even tell us). We’ve forgiven them as the result has been amazing :)
Germans certainly seem to get the point about keeping track of places and organizing location-based info (perhaps not surprisingly, German are admirably organized).
Suddenly Germany is our biggest user base. With more than 4 times more users than in our own country. On second place is the US.
As mentioned, we are trying to fly under the radar at the moment. This is certainly promising for when we launch.
If you want to see the original German review, you can here.
So, as I said. We love Germans.

Everplaces
Today we had a nice visit from Facebook. Some of the Facebook staff members have signed up as beta testers of Everplaces, so they’re always more than welcome to pop by :)
We found that we share a value, and that is putting user experience first. Facebook have internal rules about not building things in ways that would irritate users (“Mark would never allow it”, says John). Even when it comes to making money, Facebook says they try to do advertising in the least obtrusive way. “If we crammed people’s experience with ads we’d make more money in the short run, but lose them in the long run”.
You have to give them, they’ve done fairly well with that strategy. They have 800 million users :) We fully agree. And we promise we will not compromise on your user experience in sharing and saving places you love.
Tine CEO, EverplacesA lot of our users have told us they would like to be able to save places from other services in Everplaces. For example, Foursquare or Facebook checkins. We’re happy to let you know that we are going to integrate with these services.
Here are some of the services we’re thinking of integrating with. Click here to vote for what you would like first, then you can influence what we develop first. If you have suggestions not listed, then let us know on the voting sheet.

We’re closing access again Sunday evening. Get access now by going to everplaces.com and creating your account.

Here’s our first heat map! These are the locations Everplaces users are saving
because they find the remarkable, noteworthy or interesting.
It’s the first heat map we’ve produced since we opened for users last Tuesday.
We’ll keep them coming, we love infographics!
We are even looking at incorporating a live heat map on our landing page so you
can see what’s being saved right now. It will show us where this wonderful world
is most wonderful.

So, it’s a big day. We’ve opened for beta and are very excited to hear what you all have to say about Everplaces.
We’re giving access in drips and letting 350 people in per day. We’re doing this because we want to learn from each group of people so we continue to improve the experience.
So if you’ve signed up for the beta, don’t despair. You will soon receive an email with an access code.
The version you can access now is the first version of the product, so there is lots more to come. Soon you will be able to interact with your friends and see their places. And you’ll be able to import data from many sources. So stay tuned.
Enjoy!
